Acoustic control glass

Description

All the glass properly installed on a given structure provides some soundproofing. However, some windows have considerably better acoustic characteristics, for example some types of double glazing and laminated glasses with layers of acoustic PVB.

The factors that determine the different levels of acoustic insulation in different types of glass are:

- Simple Glass

• Increasing glass thickness slightly increases the acoustic insulation;

• The use of laminated glass significantly increases the acoustic benefits, especially if we are using acoustic PVB.

- Double Glazing

• Always use an asymmetric composition;

• Use a large air chamber;

• Use high thick glasses;

• Using laminated glass to replace monolithic glass (if possible laminate acoustic)
